Dr. Kathy Frazar

Dr. Kathy Frazar is passionate about changing lives through dentistry. Known for her warm approach and attention to detail, she helps patients feel comfortable and confident from the moment they sit in her chair.

Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Frazar worked as an ICU nurse, an experience that shaped her gentle, empathetic care style. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas before opening her Bellaire and West University practice in 1989.

Over the years, she’s completed more than 6,000 smile makeovers, appeared on the Deborah Duncan Show, and provided transformative care to survivors through the Smiles for Life program. Her restorative work on Carolyn Thomas, the “faceless woman” featured on the Discovery Health Channel, was recognized nationwide.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Frazar is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), holds Fellowships from the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics, and is SMART-certified through the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAMOT).

Outside the office, she enjoys time with her daughter, Taylor, and her dog, staying active, traveling, playing pickleball, and spending weekends in Round Top.
