Do you avoid going to the dentist out of fear? You’re not alone. Whether due to past painful experiences in a dentist’s chair, general anxiety or other traumatic experiences, too many Houston residents neglect their oral health – which can put their overall health in jeopardy. Let us introduce you to our gentle dentistry approach.
Have you ever had your gums nicked during a cleaning? Our gentle Houston dentists know how such painful experiences can add up and make you reluctant to visit the dentist. Our highly trained dentists and hygienists take great care to provide the dental precision you need with the gentle care you want.
Dental work doesn’t have to be painful. Gentle dentists know how to use proper sedation dentistry techniques to remove pain and anxiety from the equation. Based on your medical history and current medications, our dentists often recommend either oral conscious sedation or IV sedation for more involved procedures.
Oral conscious sedation is an oral medication taken before you arrive at our office. While you will be awake and will be able to respond to the dentist, you will also feel completely relaxed and be unaware of any pain.
We also are qualified to provide IV sedation, which often is appropriate for longer procedures. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) can enhance the effects of either sedation method.
Relax in Our Comforting Atmosphere
Our office is specifically designed with your comfort in mind. You arrive to the smell of freshly baked cookies, and you are quickly taken back to our comfortable treatment rooms. Noise-cancelling headphones, a flat screen TV and a personal CD player allow you to block out the noises that often are the root cause of many fears about going to the dentist. And paraffin hand massages, neck pillows, massage chairs and comfortable blankets add to the gentle dentist experience.
We’ll be happy to discuss your fears about going to the dentist, and to put you at ease that we are truly among Houston’s gentle dentists. Give us a call to schedule your consultation or appointment today.
