Our Team

Kathy Frazar, DDS

While Dr. Frazar was always interested in the field of medicine,
she was drawn to dentistry because of its combination of science and artistry. After receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, she began her practice in the Bellaire and West University area 20 years ago.

Dr. Frazar is dedicated to providing her patients with the best care that dentistry has to offer. She has attained the prestigious level of LVI graduate in cosmetics curriculum at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. She has attained Fellowship in the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics. Her dedication to pursuing the latest developments and technology in dentistry has earned her a Fellowship at the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society.

Dr. Frazar’s commitment to excellence has earned her praise. Both H magazine and Texas Monthly have named her as one of the top doctors in Houston year after year. Her dental expertise has been featured on CNN, ABC, NBC, and other media outlets. She has also been recently named Top Doctor for Women by H Magazine. She has also been featured as the doctor performing smile makeovers on the Deborah Duncan Show. She has been treating battered women in the Smile for Life program. She recently completed dental treatment on Carolyn Thomas. Carolyn was the faceless woman recently featured on Discovery Health Channel. She has also performed on Oprah and Discovery Health Series.

Dr. Frazar volunteers her time with the Girl Scouts, the Humane Society, the Delta Gamma Group, and other charitable organizations in the Houston area. Outside of her practice, she enjoys travel, working out and spending time with her daughter. She is also married to a Cosmetic dentist who practices in Cincinnati and Houston.

Thomas Hedge, DDS

General Dentist, Dr. Thomas Hedge was born in Mentor, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. He and his daughter Cecily now live in Cincinnati. Dr. Hedge attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio where he double majored in biology and chemistry. During his education at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry he conducted research resulting in the publication of seven abstracts and one paper and numerous awards at the state and national level.

Following his graduation from dental school he completed a general practice residency at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. This advanced education included additional training in anesthesia, pediatrics, emergency medicine, geriatrics, Temporomandibular Joint Treatment (TMJ), endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, prosthetics and implantology. And to the benefit of cosmetic dentistry, Ohio, Dr. Tom Hedge established the Dental Health Center in West Chester, Ohio, a Cincinnati suburb.

Since founding the center in 1988, Dr. Hedge has established a leading practice for cosmetic dentistry, Ohio. Dr. Hedge is nationally recognized not only for excellence in clinical programs, but for sound business practices that make full use of the newest technologies in dentistry. Dr. Hedge is an alumnus of the L.D. Pankey Institute where he is a featured instructor and teaches dentists from all over the world on a monthly basis. He has participated in over 250 hours of continuing education per year over the last decade. Dr. Hedge is a frequent contributor to newsletters and magazines that promote professional development, including Dental Economics, Dentistry Today, The Profitable Dentist, Dental Products Reports, Contemporary Esthetics, and Dental Town Magazine. Kaldoun Katma, DDS MSD

Dr. Katma has over ten years of professional experience in dentistry. He received his training in advanced Periodontology, plastic periodontal surgery, and oral implantology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH (one the top ranked schools in the United States) where he obtained his Master of Science degree in Dentistry (MSD) and started his career by teaching and cutting edge research in implantology and Periodontics. Dr. Katma's quest for advanced education has continued with numerous courses in the most updated techniques in advanced Periodontics, microsurgery, implantology, and Perio/Ortho advanced accelerated teeth movement techniques. To express his passion for the profession, voluntarily Dr. Katma exceeds every year the required continuing education by 200-300% by attending international and local conferences to stay abreast of the most current knowledge and technology available on Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.

In addition, Dr. Katma is a Board certified Periodontist, which is the highest level of professional achievement in Periodontics and a distinction achieved by a very few numbers of periodontists. As well Dr. Katma is an Active member of:

  • American Academy of Periodontology (AAP)
  • American Academy of Dental Association (ADA)
  • Greater Houston Dental Society (GHDS)
  • Texas Dental Association (TDA)

Dr. Katma has published a few articles in professional dental and medical journals, and he is an active educator who lectures at dental schools and professional local and international conferences about Periodontics, Dental Implants, Oral Health, and periodontal systemic relationship like (periodontal disease and rheumatoid arthritis, and achieving nice smile around implants and natural teeth).

Since Dr. Katma is certified to provide Intra venous sedation on his patients, our practice offers a combination of break-through scientific/technology advancements giving the benefit of providing comfortable, relaxing and less stressful treatment environment and state of the art technology such as surgical treatment and other.

Sabrina - Hygienist


Sabrina is a native Texan from Dickinson, and a graduate of the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. Hook ‘em Horns! She has been working as a dental hygienist with Dr. Frazar since 2001, and is passionate about her work as a hygienist because it allows her the opportunity to help patients of all ages achieve and maintain good dental hygiene as well as a great smile. As an only child, she is very close with her mother who is also a beloved patient of our office. She spends her leisure time with her loves: her cat, Callie; her dog, Honey; and her great love and significant other, Pete. Also an active runner, she has recently completed 5K runs for great causes such as breast cancer and prostate cancer. She is now working towards completing her first marathon! With her intense compassion towards others and friendly personality, you won’t easily forget the great service experienced at every hygiene visit!


Kody - Business Administrator

Kody is the first smiling face that will greet you each time as you enter our dental home. After getting great care with Dr. Frazar as a patient, she decided to join our team in helping change others lives through their smiles! She is an integral part and we couldn’t do it without her. She previously studied at LSU (Geaux Tigers!) but decided to return to her native Houston, and is currently finishing her studies in History at the University of Houston. In the future, she plans to work on brightening the great minds of tomorrow through teaching. Her pastimes include spending time with her amazing family, friends, and precious puppy, Roscoe. She also recently got engaged to her longtime love, Geoff.






Jennifer - Patient Coordinator

Jennifer was born and raised in Pearland where she currently resides. She has been in the dental field since 2003. Jennifer enjoys working in Dr Frazar's office because of the soothing and calm atmosphere that is given not only to the patients but to the employees as well. She is currently a Captain on the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and has been a member for over 8 years. Her husband is a HFD paramedic and she has three handsome boys; Garrett, Gavin and Tyler.


Eugenio

Eugenio, or Gene as we lovingly refer to him, comes to us from Monterrey, Mexico, which is in the state of Nuevo Leon. Before coming to the United States in 2003, he received his Dental Technician certification and went on to achieve his professional dental degree to practice dentistry in 2000. When he is away from the office, he enjoys attending art galleries, listening to opera, reading, and learning more about fitness. We are so glad to welcome him with his vast knowledge of dentistry as one of Dr. Frazar’s key clinical team members.

Maria

Maria is an adoring mother to her daughter, Brianna , and a native of Baytown. Go Baytown Ganders! She has a broad knowledge in dentistry after practicing for the last 18 years as a clinical chairside assistant and administrative business professional. In the office, she will be your dental concierge helping you in any way needed to facilitate scheduling an appointment or explaining your necessary dental treatment. As an eloquent Spanish speaker, she is also able to assist our foreign patients who require translation. In her personal life she stays very active attending spinning classes and her daughter’s after-school activities that leave little time for much else. She has been an awesome addition to Dr. Frazar’s outstanding team!

Stefan

Stefan is originally an Idahoan but has been a Texan now for 11 years. She couldn’t have gotten here sooner! After completing her hygiene studies at Wharton Jr. College in 2001, she began her career as a hygienist and is now an indispensable member of the clinical team for Dr. Frazar. She provides excellent care for each of our patients and specializes in assisting patients who have severe gum disease and periodontal problems. Married to her college sweetheart, Chris, and a mother of three girls and one boy, she enjoys creating crafts, woodworking, and taking beautiful photos whenever there is extra time after attending school activities and extracurricular events.
